The historical wallpaper shines in new splendour – Since 1816, made-to-measure shoes have been manufactured at Scheer in Vienna. As a former imperial and royal court and chamber shoemaker, Scheer is one of the most traditional businesses in Austria. Health connected with beauty – for 7 generations.

The family combines tradition with innovation and approached us for this special project. The historic, hand-painted wallpaper was expanded by THISPLAY into an ambient video installation.

The existing, historical wallpaper patterns are highlighted, completed and animated by means of digital projection. The wall becomes a living object that lets the historical place blossom with modern meaning.
