Our TP.MIRROR system is capable of measuring sizes and proportions and therefore enables users estimate fitting accuracy of clothes. Furthermore, users also get suggestions for the size that fits them best. The mirror can also be used for tailor-made clothing, whereby the 3D model automatically adapts to the user’s proportions. The input methods are variable. The user can make his/her selection via web interface on a tablet, but RFID readers, i.e. barcodes, can also be used for the content of the database. The Mirror also generates social media content.
The 3D model is either created from a 3D scan, or delivered by a customer. In order to prepare an interactive 3D model, it is rigged with skeletal data provided and entered into database. It is important that the distortion seams are properly selected to ensure realistic and error-free demonstration. When the 3D model is in the system, user can move freely in front of the mirror. Due to the position data of the head, the 3D model is always positioned from the user's perspective. Demonstration can be done in 2D as well as in 3D view (for 3D, polarization glasses are required). The illusion significantly improves with the 3D, since user perceives his/her mirror image in 3D.
